Pixels, DPI, oh my!

Products are making their way back into the web store! The process of converting and resizing everything has been a bit tedious, but I’m excited about how much cleaner and more consistent the results are turning out.
Switching to a stylus and tablet with Rebelle 8 has made a big difference. It allows for far more accurate sizing compared to scanning my traditional paintings and drawings—and along the way, I’ve learned more than I ever expected from the process. What started as a bit of a mess has turned into a great opportunity for growth.
That inspiration has even nudged me toward creating a few simple videos to share what I’ve learned. Nothing fancy or overly technical—just a friendly introduction to digital art for anyone curious about getting started.
One of the things I love most about Rebelle 8 is how realistic it feels. Watercolors drip, run, and scatter just like the real thing. Oils build rich texture, with impasto and brushstrokes that almost seem ready to slide right off the screen. Pencils, charcoal—you name it, it’s all there, and it all behaves the way you’d expect.
And maybe the best part? No spills, no fumes, and no piles of tubes and pans to clean up or organize afterward—just pure creativity, ready whenever inspiration strikes.
But, mostly I'll be slopping paint and scratching lead pencils on real paper and canvas along the way--digital is nice, but the feeling of real art in my hands is nothing that can compare.
