Is it Ai????

Everywhere we look, AI is creating reports, images, movies, ads—it is everywhere. So how do you know when you come to my site if I have used AI? The easiest answer is: ask me. I will tell you.

AI is not my go-to for creating this site or the work on it. Yes, my website might look far more polished if I turned the design over to AI. It could probably offer me better colors, layouts, decorations, and all sorts of fancy things. But then it would not be entirely my vision or my work.

Have I used AI here? Yes, a few times, and I don't hide it.

Sometimes I need an image to illustrate a topic involving a person, but I don't want to use a real person's face and risk violating someone's privacy. In those cases, I may use a generated face or image. It can get the idea across without embarrassing or identifying anyone. When generated images are used in my sessions or blog posts, I try to make that clear.

I also use spellcheck and grammar check—a lot. Otherwise, some of you would have to play "decipher the typo" just to read what I wrote. I am a published author and was once a college English dean's list student. I know the power of prose. I also still use the wrong verb and misspell perfectly ordinary words.

Have I used AI to look over an essay or something I have written and point out possible mistakes? Yes. If I am writing about something sensitive or important, I may use it as another check to make sure I haven't stated something inaccurately. That is very different, to me, from asking AI to write the piece for me.

If I am writing my opinion, my experiences, or something I know well, you are much more likely to get exactly the way I say it—grammar errors and all.

My artwork is hand done. Even when I use a digital art program such as Rebelle 8, I am still doing the drawing and painting. Digital art is not automatically AI art, and I have no intention of turning my artwork over to AI.

AI is a tool I may occasionally use, just as I use spellcheck, reference materials, art programs, and other tools. But it will never be the thing doing the heavy lifting behind my art or life-coaching work.

That isn't my style, and I don't intend for it to become my style. I will never generate a piece of art with AI and tell you I created it by my own hand. That would be a lie of magnificent size.
